sky's the limit. cut the strings, and let me go.

Soooo, I conquered half of a  huge fear over the weekend. Don't judge because most people wouldn't think this is a big deal....I joined a gym. For the next two years, this girl will be attending a gym. This morning I conquered the rest of it. I actually went. I am so excited that I am actually conquereing my fears. I also woke up early, another goal. I know that everyday won't be perfect, but this will get easier and I am so excited. I have learned a huge lesson reccently.

In institute on Thursday, this is what I got from the lesson. Heavenly Father can do so much more for us if we pray for something and then go out and try our best to make it happen. Instead of waiting around for something to happen to me, I decided to go out and make it happen. It relieves any feelings of failure because I am trying my best. This life is great, become empowered by who you are. Stephanie Nielson said this,
"We all have trials. I would love if I could in some way help [you] grasp that. This is your trial, you should own up to it and change it, make it better, and learn from it. Life is too short. We have too much goodness, happiness and love. Being sad and sickened with heartache [and stress] isn't the right way."
Love this. If you feel like being inspired more...click on moments that matter most. The cutest girl in Relief Society taught a great lesson and used this. I LOVE IT!

This mornig I made salsa with my mom and love the feeling I feel that fall is SO CLOSE! I am growing some radishes :) and they apply to what I am going through in life. There is power in the process of growing, waiting and become someone you never knew was inside of you. Empower yourself. Find joy in the life you are living now. I am excited for the future. What is holding you back? The Lord says, "Here's the world Katie, what do you want me to help you do?" I told him, and we are accomplishing things.

Life.

So this one time, life happened. I decided that life is never perfect, the times where I enjoy my life most is when I am at peace with everything that is happening. Yesterday, my peace level was at .05 on a scale of 100. Rough day, but then I remembered that I am the only one who can decide to be happy. So, hey, here are the people and experiences that I am so grateful for that make me happy.

Sarah Martin- best woman ever! Sometimes me and Sarah can talk and it makes me feel so much better about my life.

Kim Welch- we made breakfast and then fed ducks at 9 in the morning. They were super hungry which made our lives great because those ducks really appreciated our stale bread.

Sister Brown- she's the best, Need I say more??

Frozen Yogurt- white peach mixed with pomegranite and mango.
oh yeah...

EMILY CAME HOME YESTERDAY!! she decided to live in Monteray, CA and try out the whole "buisness woman" approach on life. She's home. I am happy. and we are roomates.

I talked to my little sister on the phone this morning. She is dominating the college experience in St. George and lovin' it.

Travis, the 12 year old in my life, started JR. HIGH!! he can not be that old. He liked it. When I asked him how his first day was, he said it was fine. I got thrown back into my first day as a 7th grader, and wanted to cry. It was horrible. I just think it's great that he likes it. I wish I could be more like him..

That's my life. I love my singles ward. I went the FHE last night and decided that I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many different, great people.

Life? Life is good.

For Good.

I reccently was reading Sarah Martin's (BFF) blog and read her post about the song "For Good" from Wicked. I decided that that song is my new theme song for life. Every person I meet from this moment on, I will leave better than I found them. I am going to leave a path of grattitude and compassion in my life. It never really was about me, my life is for other people. SOooo, everyday I am going to make a list of three things: a person who changed my life, a grateful thing (event or person) and a miracle. All that happened to me that day. Through this I will be able to remember what truly matters in this life.

My mom: My mom does so much for me everyday. Today, I am grateful for her. She is the strongest woman I know and I am so lucky to have her be such a big part of my life.

Grateful: Today I am grateful for all the babies I held at work today. Even though the barf and the crying makes my job anything but ideal, I love it.

Miracle: My bowl of lucky charms cearl. It was delcious! I am so lucky to have such great food lying around my house. My bowl had the perfect ratio of marshmellows and the grains.
